Character Name: Nanako Dojima
Canon: Persona 4
Canon Point: Just before passing away (episode 22 in the anime)
Type: OU
Age: 7
History/Key Points: Synopsis via Wikipedia
Personality: Nanako is a girl who is gentle, a joy to be around, and unbelievably strong despite her age. A shot of sunshine, she is impossibly kind, and while she may not completely understand how the world works (she's seven, after all), Nanako doesn't let that hold her back too terribly much. Her optimism despite earlier tragedy is inspiring to those around her, but to her it only comes naturally. In many ways, once Chisato, her mother, passed away, Nanako was expected to grow up very quickly, taking care of much of the household chores while her father threw himself head-first into his work. She does so with little complaint, and unless something really does get to her, you'll never see her resolve waver. She opens up to people easily, her shyness fading rather quickly, especially where the Protagonist and his friends are concerned.
To say that he is an important part of her life is a vast understatement. Nanako idolizes the Protagonist, and thinks extremely highly of his friends (in the Japanese version, she refers to them as either onee/onii-chan, with the exception of Teddie, showing just how close she feels to them). Just as she encourages them, they encourage her, and she adores each one of them for it. The Protagonist is different, however, and in the time that he stays with them, he really does become like a big brother to her. He helps her better understand her father, how he feels, as well as the way that he mourns her mother. He helps her become more adjusted to him being busy with work, and, in turn, assists with making sure that Dojima can better relate to his daughter. As far as Nanako is concerned, he is the most important person in her life.
Even in her optimism, however, Nanako can be prone to a bit of loneliness, despite the fact that she would never outwardly admit it. The Protagonist certainly does help their home life quite a bit, but there are times where it still does get to her, even a little bit. She isn't the type to like to ask for help from just anyone, and can be shy around certain people--usually if she doesn't know them.
Nanako is still young, however, and thus a bit innocent and naive. She doesn't quite get how the world works, and that life can be cruel and unfair. Not remembering much about her mother, she feels sad about losing her, but doesn't quite get the impact that its had on her father at first, for example. She sees reports of the murders on the news, as well as other goings on around Inaba, but they always feel a bit separate from the world she knows. She gets confused by the Protagonist's and Dojima's conversations, believing that they are fighting. Nanako can see a dour news story come on the television, but quickly perk back up when an ad for Junes comes on quickly after. She can relate that bad things = Dojima will be late home again, and that they're certainly bad, but there's always that bit of a disjoint there. Despite this, she does have a clear distinction between right and wrong, likely at Dojima's teachings. She does represent the Justice arcana, after all.
Young, but mature, strong and optimistic, Nanako exudes an aura that is much older than what she looks. She is extremely loving, and while she may not understand the world in its entirety, she takes most everything in stride. She may not be the same person if it hadn't been for the Protagonist and his friends. Really, Nanako just wants people around her to be happyand NO FIGHTING. She is responsible beyond her years. But, most importantly, she is just a kid, still innocent and a bit naive.
Gem: Morganite
Also known as pink emerald or pink beryl, morganite denotes a presence of peace and inner strength. But more than that, morganite represents the idea of divine love, that someone is looking out for you. Losing her mother at such a young age, while she may not entirely remember her, has left a lasting impact not only on Nanako, but as well as her life growing up. She may not always understand why her father thrusts himself so heavily into his work, or why he can be so brusk, but the younger girl in many ways (until the Protagonist comes into the picture) has had to hold the household together.
More than that, she is seen as a source of joy and strength by the Investigation Team, despite her young age and the tragedy that struck her family. Nanako very rarely lets things get her down, and even then, she has the ability to bounce back from blows that might devastate others over twice her age for quite some time.
Her mother is still an important part of her life, even if she may not outwardly say it. It's stated that she is very much like her, from how she looks to how she acts, and whether or not the woman watches over her daughter is hard to say. Regardless, morganite is a perfect representation of the impact that she has had on her life, as well as an encapsulation of her strength, purity and ability to raise others up around her.
Power Considerations: (All powers will come with an opt-out post for players to use, and will be discussed with the mods before using on event NPCs)
Extra: I've got nothing, so have cute bear pudding instead.

Power Considerations: (All powers will come with an opt-out post for players to use, and will be discussed with the mods before using on event NPCs)
- POSITIVITY SHIELD: Nanako's positivity and ability to see the good in any situation gives others around her the ability to temporarily shrug off some of the negative affects of certain powers. Powers that affect a person's perception, mental stability, or anything related to this will either be nulled, or find their effects significantly diminished. This only works at very short distance to a limited amount of people (4 max, not including herself), and is somewhat physically taxing on her.
- RIGHT AND WRONG: Nanako has a deep-seeded sense of justice, and a good idea of what is right and what is wrong. Through this, she is able to, in certain circumstances, innately sense hidden malice within an organism. This includes and is not limited to: humans, gems and animals. While she may not be able to perceive what they are up to, if something is off, Nanako will get an inkling that something is wrong. This can easily be negated by any empathy-blocking abilities.
- YOU CAN DO IT!: Her presence is like a straight shot of sunshine, and Nanako can use that to inspire other people around her. Those fighting alongside Nanako will receive a boost to their morale, granting them certain perks. This can vary depending upon the person and situation--for example, if a character is in combat, they might find that their blows land a bit harder, or they can take more of a beating. This boost does not apply to Nanako herself, and the more people she uses it on, the less effective it becomes.
- WEAPON: Nanako will not be receiving it right away, but her weapon is a strange-looking wand. She is able to manipulate its size at will, and at best it is a good bludgeoning instrument. Her wand also helps amplify her Right and Wrong ability, and can learn a number of... choice catchphrases, which it will use at the worst possible moments. It seems to have a mind of its own.
Extra: I've got nothing, so have cute bear pudding instead.
